Since 2020, Ellen has helped shape almost every major Doctors’ Association UK campaign, contributing to strategy, messaging, media engagement and public advocacy across general practice, NHS funding, workforce wellbeing, patient safety and health policy.
Selected achievements
- Co-founded NHS Domestic Abuse Awareness Day, bringing together the Doctors' Association UK and Medical Women's Federation to raise awareness of domestic abuse affecting healthcare professionals and improve workplace support across the NHS.
- Editorial Lead and Co-chair of Doctors' Association UK, helping shape national campaigns and public communications on NHS policy and workforce issues.
- Campaigned for sustainable general practice, highlighting the impact of unfunded workload, workforce pressures and patient access.
- Author of Why Can't I See My GP?, used to inform MPs and parliamentary discussions on the future of general practice.
- Regular national media spokesperson on NHS policy, general practice and workforce issues.
